Mellissa is Bouvier Grant Group’s Member Services Lead. She partners with the research departments of our organizational members to ensure they are supported throughout their membership period.

Mellissa spent most of her life in Canada. There, she worked in the community development sector, partnering with all levels of government and nonprofits. She holds a Master’s in Leadership, with a focus on organizational change, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Program Evaluation. Throughout her career in Canada, she designed and led leadership programs for Indigenous youth and managed programs and funding policies for community-serving organizations.

In 2019, Mellissa moved from the Arctic to the Deep South, and in 2020, she joined Bouvier Grant Group as an administrative assistant. She began her transition from administrative services to member services in 2022. You can find Mellissa in Southern Louisiana (or Canada) with her husband, Stuart, and step-daughter, Ella — probably watching a soccer game, visiting a museum, or planning a future getaway.

  • I was in a helicopter that landed on a floating sheet of ice – all in the name of science!
  • I spent nine years on three different fire/paramedic departments
  • I was blessed by Pope John Paul II
